The Smallest Version of the EZ2 Servo Motor

With the EZ2 model, STOBER expands its range of synchronous servo motors from the EZ series. Users receive a compact, efficient, and cost-effective solution that they expect from the EZ series. This motor can also be perfectly paired with STOBER’s One Cable Solution (OCS), where only one hybrid cable connects the motor and the drive controller. This saves significant installation space.

Along with the EZ series, STOBER offers synchronous servo motors with a very wide range of power ratings. They are highly compact and offer maximum torque, high dynamics, and low torque ripple. These are the exceptional features of this series. They have a robust mechanical design and are exceptionally reliable in demanding applications and harsh environmental conditions. This means these motors are primarily used in industries such as plastics, packaging, machine tools, as well as in automation and robotics.

In addition to using smaller and, therefore, more cost-effective connectors, the EZ2 has also been adapted to the entire series in terms of wiring. Besides conventional two-wire technology, the new size can also be connected to the STOBER One Cable Solution (OCS). This allows the motor to be reliably connected to the drive controller over a distance of 100 meters. This means that only one hybrid cable is needed for the simultaneous transmission of electrical power and encoder data. The signals are transmitted error-free up to 50 meters, without the need for costly and cumbersome chokes.

As with all drives in the EZ series, users can choose from a wide range of encoders with different performance levels for the EZ2. This allows them to configure a solution tailored to their needs, meeting requirements such as dynamics, precision, or maintaining a constant speed.
