Bevel servo drive with 2 brakes K-MB-EZ

Right-angle bevel gearbox with a servo motor, encoder, and two ServoSTOP safety brakes. Power range: 1.5 – 19.0 kW. Gear ratios from 4:1 to 97:1. Maximum brake torque: 8 – 100 Nm. Maximum gearbox torque: 62 – 7,700 Nm. Rotational backlash: 1.5 – 12 arcmin. Efficiency: 96 – 97%. The servogearmotor is optionally available with reduced backlash, resolver, fan, and brake release. Supplied as a complete Stober servo drive system with motion controller, cables, and resistor.

  • Maximum permissible gearbox temperature (measured on the gearbox surface): ≤ 80°C.
  • Protection class IP65, optionally IP66.
  • Standard gearbox output seal made of NBR, optionally FKM.
  • For duty cycles > 60% and higher ambient temperatures, FKM radial shaft seals on the output are recommended.
  • Reinforced output bearing for K5 to K8 gearboxes.
  • Cast iron gearbox housing.
  • Direct mounting of STOBER EZ/LM series servo motors without an adapter, coupling, or double brake.
  • Standard finish: black RAL 9005 paint (other colors available on request).

Servo Motor Adapter (MB) with ServoSTOP Brake

  • The spring-applied brake is integrated into the motor adapter.
  • Functions as a holding brake.
  • Provides braking from full speed, for example in the event of a power failure or emergency stop in hazardous situations.
  • Can operate as a single brake or in combination with the motor brake as a redundant braking system.
  • Electrically actuated for dry operation.
  • Equipped with a backlash-free plug-in coupling (jaw coupling), allowing easy motor removal while the axis remains braked in any position.
  • Electrical release monitoring in the terminal box via a contactless, wear-free proximity switch.
  • Manual wear monitoring by checking the air gap with a feeler gauge.
  • FKM radial shaft seals with dual sealing lips.
  • Four oil drain holes protect the brakes against oil contamination in the event of leakage.
  • Differential-redundant system compliant with EN ISO 13849-1.
  • Electrical connection as standard via a terminal box; optionally available with a plug connector (not possible in combination with release monitoring).
  • In the de-energized state, braking is achieved by spring force.
  • Released by a DC electromagnetic coil before motor start-up.
  • Motor connectors or the motor adapter terminal box/plug connector are mounted in the 270° position.
  • Combined with the motor brake, it provides a dual-brake solution with exceptionally compact dimensions.
