Modular rack ZS, pinion ZV with an economical PE planetary gearbox and EZ servo motor. Planetary servo gearmotors in the power range of 0.31–7.7 kW. Gear ratios from 3:1 to 50:1. Linear backlash 40–83 μm. Modules 2–3. Number of teeth 16–25. Feed forces 0.48–6.1 kN. Linear speeds 0.13–4.5 m/s. Optional resolver, fan, brake, and single-cable servo motor with EnDat 3.0 encoder. Supplied as a complete servo drive with motion controller.

  • High precision – low, constant linear backlash: 40–83 μm
  • No positioning errors – ratio expressed as a fraction

  • Maintenance-free – no oil changes required

  • Can operate in any mounting position

Modular pinions for ZV-PE-EZ rack-and-pinion servo drives

  • Gear quality class 6 according to DIN 3962
  • Pinions are case-hardened with helical teeth (left-hand helix 19° 31′ 42″)
  • Backlash-free shaft-hub connection, shrink-fit bonded and keyed
  • Matching rack must be right-hand helix (19° 31′ 42″), minimum quality class 8, material C45, induction hardened
  • Lubrication of pinion and rack is the user’s responsibility; high-quality synthetic grease (NLGI 0) recommended
