Axis Switching in MDS5000 Servo Drives
- Up to 4 drive axes can be controlled alternately using a single MDS5000 and the POSISwitch AX5000 axis switch
- Switching of absolute encoders is performed via the POSISwitch AX5000 axis switch
- Switching of servomotor power sections, brakes, and temperature sensors is performed via contactors
- The converter continuously reads the current shaft position of the servomotor from the EnDAT multiturn absolute encoder
