WFG shaft brakes

Spring-applied closing, electromagnetically controlled opening. Safety brake – passive lever-type brake – activated by spring force and released electrically. Braking force: 2,600 N – 33,000 N.
WFG shaft brakes
- Directly mounted on the shaft
Spring-applied shaft brakes provide reliable and precise braking force for industrial applications. They are designed so that the stator assembly is permanently connected to the stationary part of the machine, while the rotor assembly is securely mounted on the rotating shaft, ensuring reliable braking operation.
Optional features of electromagnetic shaft brakes:
- Additional manual lever for manual ventilation
- Adjustable torque
How it works:
When power is disconnected, the rotor presses against the friction linings, generating braking force. When voltage is applied, the brake is released, and the shaft can rotate freely. This ensures safe and controlled shaft movement.
Applications of electromagnetic shaft brakes:
Ideal for conveyors, robots, machine tools, and hoists, where precise motion control and safety are critical.
Features of electromagnetic shaft brakes:
- Braking force: 2,600 N – 33,000 N
- Sizes: RH 050 to RH 360
- Powerful
- Directly mounted on the shaft
- Space-saving design
- Minimal axial mounting space
- Fast response time
