SD6 servo drives with safety functions
-
On the left side of the photo, Stoeber SDS5000 / MDS5000 servo drives equipped with STO safety functions along with a safety circuit diagram. The obtained category is SIL 2 PL d.
-
On the right side of the photo, Stoeber SD6/SE6 engine controllers with a safety circuit diagram. Support for additional safety functions in the servo drive reduces the number of additional devices and allows you to achieve a higher machine safety category of SIL 3 PL e.
Charts for selected safety functions in servo drives:
This is a safe stop function in category 1. Stopping at a defined time then activating Safe Torque Off STO.
-
Safe Stop 2 (SS2)
This is a category 2 safe stop function. Stops at a defined time and then activates SOS safe operational mode.
-
Safety-Limited Speed (SLS) safety module, safety servo drives This is a speed monitoring function. We define the speed value after which the planned action occurs.
-
Safe speed range (SSR)
This is a speed monitoring function. We define the upper and lower speed range, when exceeded, the planned action takes place.
-
Safe Direction (SDI)
This is a function that monitors the direction of rotation. We define the direction of rotation, and when this direction is changed, the planned action takes place.
-
Safe Operating Stop (SOS)
- This is a state where work is stopped and a transition to safe waiting for work to be continued. Used when the operator needs to perform some activity without interrupting the operation of the entire machine.
-
Safely-Limited Increment (SLI)
-
This is a function that monitors increments. We define the upper and lower range of increments, beyond which the planned action takes place.
-
Safely- limited Position (SLP)
-
This is a position monitoring function. We define the upper and lower range of positions, after exceeding which the planned action takes place.
-
Safe Brake test (SBT)
This is a function that periodically tests the efficiency of the brakes/releases on the engine.
