Choice of: permanent magnet couplings, which jerk in the event of overload, or hysteresis couplings, which slide like a slip clutch.
For the permanent protection against frequent overload, our magnetic couplings are the right choice. They work absolutely wear free and for that reason they are of fatigue strength and maintenance-free. The simple connection by using clamping hubs and the quick adjustment of the overload torque via the insertion depth of the inner into the outer rotor, allow a fast and uncomplicated use. The following operating principles are possible: the permanent magnetic coupling, which starts „bucking“ in case of overload and the hysteresis coupling which slides similar to the sliding coupling.
Permanent magnet coupling and clamping hub. The permanent magnetic coupling shows a bucking characteristics in case of an overload. It is suitable for higher torques and due to the accordant orientation of the magnets it can be used in indexing applications.
more >Clutch with magnetic coupling hysteresis and clamping hub. The hysteresis couplings show a smooth and sliding characteristics in case of an overload. Using hysteresis material results in lower transmittable torques compared to our series “PMK” and it creates thermal energy while slipping.
