6 generation SD6, SI6, SC6 engine controllers are new products of the Stober company. They introduce a new quality of control, such as the CIA402 standard. SI6 and SC6 devices are available in two-axis and single-axis versions. Support for single-cable motors has appeared, where the encoder and power signals are in one cable. The innovation also includes the introduction of servo motor control without an encoder. These are Lean motors in the IE5 energy class, where position-speed is calculated from a mathematical model and the measurement of currents and voltages. The Drive Control Suit (DS6) operating program is also new, it introduces a clear interface and additional functions.
Another new feature is the extended safety functions card in the SE6 controller. It introduces additional safety functions such as: SDI, SLI, SLS, SOS, SSR, SLP etc.

The DS6 software is a convenient tool for scaling the axis, it allows you to intuitively enter the gear ratio and the measurement unit. It also makes it possible to check what revolutions the motor will have for a linear speed, e.g. 2m / s.

Torque control thanks to the MC_Torque_Control command, we can set the torque value in percent. The reference can be block positioning, command positioning or assigned to an analog signal via a potentiometer.

We can also switch between blocks with 5 triggers. We can assign any subsequent motion block (positioning block) to one trigger. Such a trigger can activate the start of the next block by interrupting the currently executing block or after its completion. We can also set the position of such a signal.
